William Thomas Hurst

William Thomas Hurst, age 87, of Tipton, IN died March 19, 2017 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus at Noblesville, IN. He was born July 23, 1929 at Alexandria, IN to Vernace Paul and Marcella Amelia (Hughes) Hurst. He was a graduate of Tipton High School with the Class of 1947. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He had worked at Delco Electronics at Kokomo and Guide Lamp before his long tenure of 31 years at Firestone Rubber Products Company at Noblesville. He was a member of Noblesville Moose Lodge. He married Annie Lucille (Sandy) Hurst on June 13, 1967 and she recently passed away January 28, 2017. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son: Robert O. Hurst, brothers: Robert O. Hurst and Ralph P. Hurst, sisters: Esther Knopp, Martha D. Smith, Helen Hancock, Mona Webb and a half-sister: Audry Powell. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of the services.
