Vivian P. Bryant

Vivian P. Bryant, age 94, of Atlanta, IN died June 25, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor at Tipton, IN. She was born February 27, 1917 at Elwood, IN to Lemuel Carl and Minnie Lee (Petrie) Heflin.

She was a graduate of Windfall High School. She was a member of Hobbs Christian Church where she had served as a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. She had also been a
4-H leader. Vivian enjoyed various artistic endeavors including china painting, oil painting, sewing and making stained glass items.

She was employed for over thirty years at Farmers Loan & Trust Bank at Tipton, first as a teller and later as secretary. She then worked for ten years as a farm bookkeeper.

She married Wayne Lewis Bryant in 1934. He died May 12, 1981. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a great-grandson: Nick Ozolins and two brothers and one sister.

Surviving her is a son: Dennis (Ruth Anne) Bryant of Atlanta, IN and a daughter: Barbara (Larry) Clouser of Windfall, IN, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Melissa Grishaw officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery at Tipton, IN. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at noon, also on Tuesday.
