Thomas Martin Marcum

Thomas Martin Marcum, age 84, of Cicero, IN died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Riverwalk Village at Noblesville, IN. He was born October 3, 1927 at Monticello, KY to John Riley and Nova Evelyn (Garner) Marcum.

Tom, as he was affectionately known, worked over 41 years at Firestone Rubber Products Company at Noblesville, IN and for 10 years at Chaudion Auction Company at Cicero, IN. Tom also served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Harbour Shores Church near Cicero, IN and a former member of Deming Masonic Lodge and Cicero Eastern Star.
He had coached Cicero Little League teams and also was an avid gardner who enjoyed sharing his produce with others.

He married Lora Ethel (Higginbotham) Marcum on October 6, 1951. She survives him. Also surviving is a son: Thomas Eugene (Linda Sue) Marcum of Indianapolis, IN, granddaughter: Melisa Benefiel, and great-granddaughter: Ava Josephine Yaggi.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens near Castleton, IN.
