Steven Alan Dial

Steven Alan Dial, age 67, of Atlanta, IN, died June 5, 2016 at I.U. Health Tipton Hospital. He was born December 5, 1948 at Tipton, IN to Ivan Isaac and Velma Edith (Warren) Dial. He graduated from Hamilton Heights High School and then served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Additionally he achieved at four year degree at I.U. Kokomo in engineering. Steven was employed at Chrysler Corporation at Kokomo, IN for 34 years as a mechanical engineer. He became a pilot and enjoyed traveling via airplane to various locations in the United States. Hobbies he pursued included golfing, riding his Harley and purchasing and restoring vintage cars that he then took to car shows. He was a member of AARP and the UAW. He married Vickie Sue (Belt) Dial on January 10, 1970. She survives him. Additional survivors include a son: Lonnie (Amy) Dial of Atlanta, IN, daughter: Donna Dial of Tipton, IN, brothers: Paul Dial and Richard Dial both of Atlanta, IN, sisters: Doris Redd of Pensacola, FL and Ellen Jones of TN, plus 11 grandchildren. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a sister: Lorece Dial and brothers: Donnie Dial and Claude Dial. No services are planned at this time.
