Sarah Nell Peachey

Sarah Nell Peachey, age 93, of Cicero, IN died April 13, 2015 at Riverview Health at Noblesville, IN. She was born April 3, 1922 at Indianapolis, IN to James Louis and Nancy Melva (Garret) Young. She was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School with the Class of 1936. She had worked as a librarian at Bruebuf High School and also at Walnut Grove Chapel Christian Church at Indianapolis. She married James Henry Peachey on July 4, 1942 and together they owned Peachey's Catering at Indianapolis and Arcadia for over 15 years. Sarah was a member of Cicero United Methodist Church where she started a church library and served as church librarian. She also sang in the choir. For several years she participated in the Brown County Women's Retreat. She enjoyed sewing,playing the piano, and interacting with her grandchildren. Surviving her are sons: James Michael Peachey and Steven Lee Peachey, both of Cicero, Henry Charles Peachey, of Columbus, OH, John Edward Peachey of Noblesville, daughters: Nancy Carolyn Peachey of Washington, DC, and Elizabeth Ann Nickel of Cicero, a sister: Hylda Maryon Young Smith of Piney Flats, TN, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death as well as her parents, a daughter: Catherine Marie Peachey and a brother: David Young. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Byron Fritz officiating at Cicero United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 26th from 3:00 to 7;00 P.M. also at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Catherine Peachey Fund, P.O.
