Samuel E Zacharias

Samuel E. Zacharias, age 72, of Arcadia, Indiana died February 23, 2016 at his home. He was born December 11, 1943 at DeQueen, Arkansas to Dietrich and Stella (Cook) Zacharias. Sam, as he was fondly known, was a member of the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was employed for many years as a printing press operator for the Indiana Conference of Seventh Day Adventists. He married Joyce Yvonne (Steele) Zacharias on June 21, 1964. She survives him. Additional survivors include a son: David Zacharias of St. Augustine, FL and a daughter: Diane (Tim) Zacharias Reynolds of Arcadia, IN, grandchildren: Anissa Zacharias and Conner Zacharias and three grand dogs: Callie, Heidi and Ziva. Additional survivors include his siblings: Eola Cross of Watsonville, CA, Calvin Zacharias of Deer Lodge, TN, Jacob (Thelma) Zacharias of Pueblo, CO, Edna Goff of SC, Harold (Carolyn) Zacharias of Calhoun, GA and Daniel Zacharias of Keene, TX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Walter, Ottice, and Herman Zacharias and Pansy Platt. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church, 24445 State Road 19, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Vic VanSchaik officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Academy or Cicero SDA Elementary School.
