Ruby E. Fetty

Ruby E. Fetty, age 102, believed to be the oldest living resident of Cicero, IN died Saturday evening at her home. She was born June 8, 1910 near Noblesville, IN to Edward F. and Barbara Elizabeth (Berg) Venable.

She was a graduate of Cicero High School with the Class of 1929. She had worked at Hamilton County Bank at Cicero, IN over 25 years.

Ruby was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Noblesville, IN, Hamilton County Extension Homemakers Club, Hamilton County Senior Citizens, and Cicero Order of Eastern Star #541 where she served two times as Worthy Matron.

She married Austin E. Fetty on December 25, 1935. He preceded her in death December 1, 1982. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters: Halcie Mitchum and Hazel Costomiris, and a brother: Andrew Venable.

Surviving her is a niece: Helen Musselman as well as several great, great-great- and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Douglas Gast officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery.
