Roy B. Girtman

Roy B. Girtman, age 83, of Arcadia, IN died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Riverview Hospital. He was born September 11, 1928 at Cave City, Arkansas to Roy and Bevley (Nelligan) Girtman.

Roy worked at Firestone at Noblesville for many years. He worked different jobs there, but mostly he built tank tracks.

Surviving him are two sons: Dale (Nancy) Girtman of Mulberry, IN, Chris (Cindy) Girtman of Cicero, IN, three daughters: Beverly Girtman of Carmel, IN, Gwen Girtman of Noblesville, IN and Carolyn Prairie of Carmel, IN, sisters: Mary Jane, Agnes, Peggy and Fannie, 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a great-grandson: Steven Powell, brothers: Coy Lee Girtman and Ray Girtman, and a step-sister: Sybil Perky.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Arcadia Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Arcadia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation
