Ronald Ralph Walker

Ronald Ralph Walker, age 73, of Sheridan, IN died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Harrison Terrace Nursing Home at Indianapolis, IN. He was born August 15, 1943 at Sheridan, IN to Lawrence and Nola Mae (Baker) Walker. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School, then honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Ron, as he was fondly known, was a member of the Arcadia Church of the Brethren, Sheridan American Legion, and the Wesleyan Men's Group. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He married Sherry Elaine (Tomlinson) Walker on August 13, 1960. She preceded him in death May 16, 2007. In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Laverne Walker and Robert Walker, sisters: Georgianna Beard and Iva Lou Kinkead. Surviving him is a son: Ronald Lawrence (Debbie) Walker of Arcadia, IN, daughters: Justina Marie Johnson-Kelley of Arcadia, IN, and Dawn Eileen (Brian) Tolan of Westfield, IN, grandchildren: Hannah Walker, Brandy Herrmann, Brittany Dailey, Drew, Jordyn and Walker Spriggs, Weston Johnson, and Riley Tolan, also great-grandchildren: Christian and Savannah Daily and Addison and Nolan Herrmann. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Stephen Hobson officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
