Roger Allen Lillie

Roger Allen Lillie, age 92, of Cicero, IN died August 31, 2016 at Kindred Bridgewater Care at Carmel, IN. He was born August 18, 1924 at Concord, NH to Richard H. and Rowena May (Hutchinson) Lillie. He was a mechanical engineer for Bryant Grinder Corporation teaching others and servicing machines all over the United States. Leisure time found him tending his flower gardens, and working with wood. He had built various items including furniture, his home and home furnishings. He first married Margaret L. (Masse') Lillie January 27, 1951. She preceded him in death September 14, 1993. He then married Patricia Catherine (Girard) Lillie October 2, 1994. She preceded him in death January 12, 2009. In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by a sister: June Rose Lillie-Tarbox. Surviving him are two sons: Roger Allen (Angela) Lillie, Jr. of Fishers, IN, Ryan Robert Lillie of Malibu, CA, daughters: Rowena Ann (Dick) Moss of Warrenton, VA, and Roxanne Marie (Russell) Sirotin-Uhls of Indianapolis, IN, brother: Richard H. Lillie, Jr. of Clairmond, NH, sisters: Linda Lee Rothlisberg of Prescott, AZ, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include a step-son: William R. (Laura) Clark of Cicero, IN, step-daughters: Janice J. (Bob) Hunt of Alexandria, IN, Gail A. (Norman) Smiley of Lebanon, IN, and Vicki L. (Sid) Fields of Westfield, IN, 10 step-grandchildren and 17 step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034, with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
