Roberta R Hancock

Roberta R. Hancock, age 90, of Tipton, Indiana died September 22, 2012 at her home. She was born July 27, 1922 at Elkhart, Indiana to John Robert and Pauline (Newman) Johnson.

She was a graduate of Elkhart High School. Roberta was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Tipton, IN.

She married Leroy Frank Hancock on May 15, 1948. He preceded her in death July 21, 1993. She loved her role as homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed attending festivals, doing crosswork puzzels and also was an avid reader.

Surviving her are sons: Marvin Hancock of Arcadia, IN, Ricky Hancock of Kansas, IL, Stanley Hancock of Cicero, IN and Dennis Hancock of Bargersville, IN, daughters: Colleen Wolford of Tipton, IN and Lannette Hall of Thomasville, NC, a sister Rose Bailey of Elkhart, IN, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death in addition to her husband and her parents is a sister: Pauline Case and brothers: Donald Johnson and Gerald Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1385 South Main Street, Tipton, IN 46072 with burial to follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Pastor Robb Rolloff will officate. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to her Church.
