Robert A. Stringer

Robert A. Stringer, age 82, of Arcadia, IN died February 9, 2013 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN. He was born May 1, 1930 at Indianapolis, IN.

Bob, as he was affectionately known, was a member at Arcadia Church of the Brethren where he served as an usher. He was an avid sports fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and auto racing. He also enjoyed woodworking and going to garage sales.

He was employed at Woods Wire for thirty years.

He married Peggy Joan (Alexander) Stringer in 1974. She preceded him in death in 2006. His parents and a brother, Raymond Stringer also preceded him in death.

Surviving him are three sons: David Wright of Indianapolis, IN, Robert Wright of Fishers, IN and Richard Wright of Arcadia, IN, daughters: Cindie Million of Anderson, IN, Mickie Kerfoot of Marble Falls, TX, Paula Adair of Kokomo, IN and Patricia Bess of Tipton, IN, special cousin: Betty Walker of Indianapolis, IN, 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Arcadia Church of the Brethren with Pastor Benjamin Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday also at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church at 8989 East 266th Street, Arcadia, IN 46030.
