Rita Arlene Day

Rita Arlene Day, age 76, of Arcadia, IN, died February 10, 2014 at Riverwalk Village at Noblesville, IN. She was born November 11, 1937 at Walpole Island, Ontario, Canada to Edward and Mabel (Tooshkenig) Shipman. Rita had worked in the food service area at Marsh Super Market at Noblesville, IN for many years. She enjoyed cooking, reading and traveling. She was talented in drawing and sketching, working with pencil and pen & ink. She married Michael Brian Day on April 13, 1985. He survives her. Also surviving her are two sons: Paul Shipman of Arcadia, IN and Maurice Memie of Lebanon, IN, brothers: Howard, Alec, Elwood, Edward, Adam and Edward Shipman, Jr., grandchildren: Joshua and Misty Shipman, great-grandchildren: Addison, Sydney and Desmond Shipman, Chanda Richards, and Harley Barlow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Memie, granddaughter: Tiffany Shipman, brothers: Stanford and Wellington Shipman, sisters: Hilda Greenbird, Stella Pinnance and Mary Sands.
