Rita Sue Butcher

Rita Sue Butcher, age 56, of Atlanta, IN died August 2, 2014 at her home. She was born January 30, 1958 at Lafayette, IN to George Francis and Mary Louise (McKay) Grant. Rita was employed at Beck's Superior Hybrids at Atlanta, IN as a sales associate for over 25 years. Rita enjoyed going to garage sales and working jig saw puzzles. Her family knew her as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. And all those with whom she came in contact knew her as big-hearted, a most giving person, and always helpful. She married Jackie Butcher on November 10, 1973. He survives her. Also surviving her are three daughters: Heather Harpham of Cicero, IN, Shawnda Jones of Delphi, IN and Amber Cox of Anderson, IN, grandchildren: Alexis and Samuel Harpham, Tristan and Trevin Jones, Hannah and Kloey Cox, brothers: Robert Douglas Grant of Honolulu, HI, and William Smothers of Delphi, IN, and a sister Rose Lewis of Elwood, IN. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two siblings: Ruth Nattinger and Terry Grant. Private family services will be held at a later date.
