Rick Lynn Truitt

Rick Lynn Truitt, age 63, of Cicero, IN died February 6, 2013 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN. He was born July 13, 1949 at Peru, IN to William Edward and Mary Jane (Redmon) Truitt. He was a graduate of Peru High School and then earned a bachelor's degree from Purdue University. He was a member of First Baptist Church at Indianapolis, IN. Rick was an avid fisherman and had entered various tournaments including the Hoosier Open Bass Fishing Tournaments. He was also a sports fan, especially of Purdue, the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. Rick married Lynette Lynn (Lawrence) Truitt on April 29, 1972. She survives him. Also surviving is a daughter: Angela (Chris) Lawson of Cicero, IN, brothers: Jim (Leslie) Truitt and Terry Truitt, sister: Shann (Brian) Drane and grandchildren: Kylee and Kaiden Lawson, mother and father-in-law: Mary and Herbert Lawrence, sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Herbert Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 2:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
