Phyllis Jean Stover

Phyllis Jean Stover, age 88, of Arcadia, IN died October 18, 2013 at Harbour Manor Care Center at Noblesville, IN. She was born June 28, 1925 at Arcadia, IN to Roy Edward and Margaret Mae (Heisser) Bardonner.

She was a graduate of Arcadia High School with the Class of 1943. In addition to being a homemaker she had worked at Clark's Dime Store, Arcadia Post Office, Hamilton Heights Schools and Beck's Superior Hybrids. She had served as a volunteer at Tipton County Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Tipton, IN and a former member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia, IN where she had taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and participated in Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was also a member of Salhoma Extension Homemakers Club. She enjoyed traveling and working with her flowers and plants.

She married Donald Eugene Stover at San Diego, CA on May 30, 1943. He survives her. Also surviving is a son: Donald Gene (Cindy) Stover of Highlandville, MO, two daughters: Diana Lynn Graves of Fishers, IN and Teri Ann (Ron) McDonald of Cicero, IN, brother: Charles (Jo Edna) Bardonner of Arcadia, IN, a sister: Margaret Ann Kendall of Elwood, IN, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson: Hank Deakyne, brother: Robert Bardonner, and son-in-law: David Graves.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Emanuel Lutheran Church at Tipton, IN with Pastor Robb Roloff officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery near Arcadia, IN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
