Phyllis Ann Clements

Phyllis Ann Clements, age 86, of Noblesville, IN and formerly of Cicero, IN passed away August 11, 2011 at Riverview Hospital. She was born May 26, 1925 at Cicero, IN to Clarence and Mabel (Pheanis) Knapp.

She was a graduate of the last graduating class of Cicero High School in 1943. She then graduated from Indiana Business College. She was employed for over 20 years at the Hamilton County Veterans Service Office and also served for many years as secretary for the Boxley Christian Sister and Brotherhood.

She enjoyed interacting and being with her family, who remember her fondly as a loving housewife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed gardening, especially growing her roses, and cooking. She was a member of Arcadia Church of the Brethren, Senior Services of Hamilton County, a life member of Hamilton County Historical Society, and a charter member of Cicero American Legion Auxiliary.

Phyllis married Dave Clements April 7, 1946. He preceded her in death April 23, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving her are two sons: Daniel (Marilyn) Clements of Noblesville, IN, and Steven Clements of Indianapolis, IN, two daughters: Anita (Ron) Ellis of Westport, IN and Janet (Ron) Harmon of Atlanta, IN, two brothers: David (Carolyn) Knapp of Cicero, IN and Keith (Mary) Knapp of Noblesville, IN, 4 grandsons and 4 granddaughters, 1 step granddaughter, 7 great-grandsons, 1 step great grandson and 1 step great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Derek Hansen and Scott Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday.
