Peggy Lou Hiatt

Peggy Lou Hiatt, 78, of Arcadia, IN died November 1, 2014 at her home. She was born June 19, 1936 at Noblesville, IN to Clifton and Mary (Bryant) Hudson. Peggy was a graduate of Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1954. She then began working in the Treasurer's Office at the Hamilton County Courthouse where she served as first deputy for eight years, then was elected Hamilton County Treasurer for eight years. She was a member of the Indiana Treasurers Association. Peggy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Leisure times found her enjoying her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family get-togethers were treasured times. On July 17, 1955 she married Duane E. Hiatt. He survives her. Also surviving is her mother, Mary Louise Hudson of Arcadia, IN, four sons: Eric Eugene Hiatt of Oshkosh, WI, Duane Michael Hiatt, Timothy Mark Hiatt and John Keven Hiatt all of Arcadia, IN., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Joe Hudson. Memorial services will be held November 21, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Hinkle Creek Friends Church with Pastor Robert Stubbs officiating. Burial will follow at the Hinkle Creek Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Peggy.
