Patricia Hall Shaffer Collins

Patricia Hall Shaffer Collins, age 91, of Noblesville, and formerly of Arcadia, IN died January 6, 2017 at Harbour Manor Health and Living at Noblesville, IN. She was born July 30, 1925 at Indianapolis, IN to Ernest Lyle and Edna Lillian (Brown) Hall. She attended Indianapolis public schools graduating from Shortridge High School in 1943, then attended Butler University three years. She married Howard Wayne Shaffer in 1947 and they began their life together farming. Pat soon became comfortable with her role as a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, Phi Beta Psi Sorority and a life-long member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia, IN.
The past several years she has attended Omega Christian Church with her family. Howard preceded her in death in 1979. Also preceding her in death is a son: William Edward Shaffer, daughter Ann Shaffer, brothers: Brian Hall and Carter Lyle Hall, step-daughter: Linda Lou Collins, and her parents: Ernest and Edna Hall. In 1995, she married Clifford B. Collins and he survives her. Additional survivors include a daughter: Susan Shaffer Achenbach of Atlanta, IN and a son: Mark W. Shaffer of Tipton, step-son: Larry Lee Collins of Noblesville, 8 grandhildren, 1 step-grandchild, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery near Arcadia, IN. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Omega Christian Church.
