Nila Lou Anderson Roraus

Nila Lou Anderson Roraus, age 77, of Cicero, IN died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Clare Bridge at Carmel, IN. She was born January 22, 1933 at Noblesville, IN to William Thomas and Evelyn (Gintert) Ziegler, Jr.

She was a graduate of Jackson Central High School Class of 1951. She had worked for several years at Western Electric at Indianapolis. Nila also enjoyed being a homemaker. She liked to sew and enjoyed listening to music as she worked and relaxed. Nila was a member of Cicero Christian Church.

She first married Ronald Anderson September 24, 1951. He passed away April 22, 1970. She later married Allan O. Roraus who preceded her in death February 21, 1999. Surviving her are three daughters: Kay L. (Jerry) Heiny of Noblesville, Kristi (Dale) Thomas of Connersville, Kim (Rick) Slagle of Fishers, a brother: Dean Ziegler of Rockford, MI, a sister: Nancy Tarr of Waynesville, NC, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, step-daughter: Tamara (Larry) Kaufman of Carmel, step-sons: Gary (Valerie) Roraus of Indianapolis, and Steven Roraus of CA.

In addition to her parents and husbands she is preceded in death by one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with burial to follow at the Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.
