Nancy Meyer

Nancy Meyer, age 90, of Cicero, IN died March 23, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor at Tipton, IN. She was born April 11, 1922 at Evanston, Illinois to Arthur and Katharine (Keeler) Pearman.

She was a graduate of Rockford Central High School at Rockford, IL and of the University of Illinois where she majored in Spanish. She was a member of the United Unitarian Church of Rockford and the Women's Cotillion of Pittsburgh.

Nancy was philanthropic, supporting various charities and doing volunteer work. She liked gardening, especially planting and cultivating wildflowers. She also enjoyed traveling and each year several ladies would travel to various destinations together. Among the ladies was a friend, Barbara Hale, the actress who played the part of Della Street on the Perry Mason television series.

She married Houston H. Meyer on March 3, 1944. He preceded her in death June 18, 1991. Her parents and a daughter, Katharine Bartholomew also preceded her in death.

Surviving her is a daughter: Sally Jane Wolf of Cicero, IN, sons: Thomas Houston Meyer and wife, Dee of Arlington, TX, Steven Curtis Meyer of Porter, IN and Charles Andrew Meyer of Cicero, IN, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A gathering will be held Friday, April 12, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel where fond memories can be shared by all.
