Monika K. Oldham

Monika K. Oldham, age 71, of Fishers, IN died May 23, 2011 at her home. She was born January 31, 1940 at Berlin, Germany to Herman and Irmgard (Schroeder) Krause. Her mother preceded her in death.

Monika attended Valpraiso and Butler Universities and had worked as a pre-school teacher at Meridian Street United Methodist Church. However, she cherished most her role as mother and homemaker. She married Dr. Drew F. Oldham on September 5, 1959. He survives her.

Additional survivors in include eight children: Gregory (Elaine) Oldham, twins: Christopher (Teresa) and Jeffrey (Brenda) Oldham, twins: Deborah (DeWight) Anderson and Jennifer Oldham, Lisa Oldham, Kevin Oldham, Mary Katrina (John) Crist, grandchildren: Daniel Oldham, Gabrielle Anderson, Alek Oldham, and Ana Oldham, and a sister: Petra Garbero.

The family would like to thank the staff at Central Indiana Cancer Center for their loving, compassionate care of Monika.

Private funeral services will be held with burial to occur at the Cicero Cemetery. Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel is handling the arrangements.
