Mircho "Mike" Kakasuleff

Mircho "Mike" Kakasuleff, age 92, of Cicero, IN died July 5, 2015 at Harbour Manor Health & Living at Noblesville, IN. He was born September 1, 1922
at Indianapolis, IN to Sam and Tarpa Kakasuleff. He was a life-long farmer in the rural Cicero area and a member of Indiana Farm Bureau. He was also affiliated with the Lutheran Church. He greatly enjoyed square dancing and had participated with the Do Si Does, Foot Loose Singles and Madison County Promenaders for over fifty years. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was proud of his heritage as his parents had emigrated here from Macedonia, and working hard they carved out good lives for themselves and their families. He was first married to Esther Louise (Wendt) Kakasuleff on May 15, 1949. She preceded him in death October 8, 1973. He was later married to Sarah (Lash) Kakasuleff on May 27, 1988. She preceded him in death March 9, 2014. In addition to is wives and his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers: Gavrel Kakasuleff and Sie Kakasuleff, sisters: Rhoda Kleyla and Aleksandra Petroff, and a step-great-grandson: P.G. Gray. Surviving him are two sons: Kenneth (Debbie) Kakasuleff and Gerald (Nancy) Kakasuleff, both of Cicero, IN, daughter: Barbara (Edward) Belcher of Lebanon, IN, grandchildren: Jared (Kristina) Kakasuleff and George (Carly) Kakasuleff, both of Cicero, IN, Korine Abernathy of Kokomo, IN, and Michaela Belcher of Lebanon, IN. Additional survivors include step-children: Barbara (J.B.) Bachman, Brenda (George) Caldwell, and Rick (Ada) Long, step-grandchildren: Kris and Kyle Weaver, Kassi Miracle, Sonia and Patrick Caldwell, Christina Friend, Angela Domenech, Adam, Sara, Daniel and Natalia Long, Dr. Kim McDaniel, and six step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN, 46034 with Pastor Scott Mauch officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery at Tipton, IN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
