Max Allen Vanmeter

Max Allen VanMeter, age 73, of Arcadia, IN died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis, IN. He was born April 21, 1938 at Atlanta, IN to Albert and Nellie
(Cain) VanMeter.

He attended Jackson Central High School and began working with his father in the concrete contracting business. He became the owner and manager of MVM Enterprise, a concrete contracting company. Max was a member of Cicero Christian Church.

He married Olivanne (Landes) VanMeter on June 4, 1961. She survives him. Additional survivors include a son: Mark Todd (Lori) VanMeter of Carmel, IN and a daughter: Luanne Bentley of Carmel, IN, two sisters: Peggy Sowers and Dixie Davis both of Arcadia, IN, five grandchildren: Brianne Bouma, Courtney Bentley, Madeline VanMeter, Emily VanMeter, and Sarah VanMeter.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Dick VanMeter.

Private family services will be held with Pastor Steven Hamcock officiating. Burial will occur at Arcadia Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
