Matthew Scott Butcher

Matthew Scott Butcher, age 29, of Arcadia, IN died Sunday April 6, 2014 at his home. He was born August 22, 1984 at Indianapolis, IN to James Vernon and Linda Sue (Abbott) Butcher. He was a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 2003, then attended Indiana University for two years. During his high school years he was on the football and baseball teams. He was employed as a Transport Officer for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. During his free time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing basketball and fast pitch softball. He was a member of the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church. Surviving him is his mother: Linda Sue Butcher of Noblesville, IN, a brother: Joshua James Butcher of Atlanta, IN, a sister: Andrea Keits of Colorado Springs, CO, and a grandfather: Harold Abbott of Arcadia, IN. His father, James Vernon Butcher preceded him in death. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church.
