Mary K. Griffin

Mary K. Griffin, age 96, of Cicero, IN died April 6, 2016 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus at Noblesville, IN. She was born October 3, 1919 at Noblesville, IN to Lee and Martha (Lowe) Widows. She was a graduate of Cicero High School with the Class of 1937. She had worked at Bill's Drive Inn and as a retail clerk at Bargain Bob's near Atlanta, IN. She married Julian E. Griffin on September 18, 1937. He preceded her in death November 19, 2011. She enjoyed being a wife and homemaker, and her family described her as a loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. She also enjoyed camping with her family and playing canasta with her sisters. Surviving her are sons: Dennis Griffin of Noblesville, IN Lanny (Marilyn) Griffin of Wartrace, TN, Rick (Julie) Griffin of Noblesville, IN, daughters: Joan (Dale) Stout of Nashville, IN, Noreen (Troy) Ferguson of Cicero, IN, sisters: Bonnie Stinnet and Evelyn Boyer both of Cicero, IN and Wanda Freeman of Anderson, IN, a daughter-in-law: Sandy Griffin, 16 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Larry Griffin, a brother Garland Widows, a sister: Maxine Dick and three grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034.
