Mary Esther Brown

Mary Esther Brown, age 90, of Indianapolis, IN died September 12, 2010 at her home. She was born January 24, 1920 at Madison, IN to Hugh and Daisy (Adams) Craigmyle.

She was a graduate of Manual High School at Indianapolis. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church at Indianapolis and the Riviera Club. Mary enjoyed being a homemaker. She liked to sew and made dolls and doll clothes. She was also an avid gardener. She married Max Leon Brown on June 11, 1943 and together they enjoyed square dancing and round dancing. They and their relatives have long-time ties to northern Hamilton County.

Survivors include her husband, Max, sons: Mark Alan (Leanah) Brown of Crawfordsville, IN, Max Wayne (Maileen) Brown of Laguna Beach, CA, a daughter: Janet Sue (George) Partlowe of West Lafayett, IN, sister: Elizabeth Moss of Berkley, CA, grandchildren: James, Mark and Max G. Brown, Pamela Howard, Nichole Kyger, Ashley Brown, and David Partlowe, great-grandchildren: Delaney and Vincent Howard and another great-grandchild soon to be born.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pat Engel officiating. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery.
