Marvyn Piel

Marvyn Piel, a generous and hardworking man, was born on October 9, 1953, in Beech Grove, IN, and passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 73.

A retired automotive mechanic, Marvyn dedicated many years to his craft at Esler’s Auto Repair in Westfield, IN, before retiring in 2018. His greatest joy in life came from the time spent with his cherished family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren, whose smiles could light up his day.

Marvyn married the love of his life on January 7, 1995, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jo Piel; step-children, Julie (Justin) Michael, Joshua (Christina) Heath, and Matt (Sarah) Page; his grandchildren, Elaina Page, Monte Heath, Emma Heath, Josie Michael, and Jackson Michael; his sister, Nancy Scott; nephew, Jonathan Scott; and niece, Elizabeth Hyatt.

Marvyn was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Catherine Piel. Services are under the direction of Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Homes in Cicero.
