Marty Clark Hudson

Marty Clark Hudson, age 69, of Sheridan, Indiana passed away July 4, 2016 at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital. She was born September 11, 1946 at Noblesville, IN to Cecil Emory and Mary Josephine (Blasser) Clark. She was a graduate of Windfall High School with the Class of 1964. Furthering her education, she earned a BS Degree in Elementary Education from Butler University followed by an MLS Degree in Library Science at Indiana University. She taught at the elementary school level for both the Greenwood and Carmel school systems, and also was a school media specialist for Orchard Park Elementary and Carmel Jr. High. Marty was a member of St. Lukes Methodist Church at Indianapolis, IN, Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Central Indiana Soaring Society, Women's Soaring Pilots Association, Sheridan Historical Society, and the Lucrative Ladies Investment Club. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a son Mitchell C. Hudson and Kimmine (Pierce) Hudson of Moriarty, New Mexico, and surrogate daughter Tabitha Thomas of Mooresville, IN. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Rev. Linda McCoy officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sheridan Historical Society, 308 South Main Street, Sheridan, IN 46069.
