Martha Newton

Martha Newton, age 97, of Noblesville, IN passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor at Tipton, IN. She was born July 28, 1913 at St. Louis Missouri to Stanislaw Zygmunt and Josephine (Sobieraj) Grams.

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in their business, Newton's TV Sales and Service. She also had worked in the cafeteria at Walnut Grove School. Martha was a member of Omega Christian Church.

She married Wayne Newton on December 3, 1931. He preceded her in death in 1981. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by sisters: Mary Stark, Helen Hill, Rose Porter and Regina Grams, brothers: Sigmund Grams, Stephen Grams and Leo Grams, and a step-father: Vince Patik.

Surviving her are two daughters: Marilyn Sue McClintock of Elwood, IN and Frances Jean Lively of Atlanta, IN, a brother: Walter Grams of Wappapella, Missouri, grandchildren: Cheryl Morgan, Terri Altherr, Randy McClintock, Amber Courtney, Kyle J. Lively, Monte D. Lively, Lanae Campbell, and Lyndon V. Lively, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Omega Christian Church with Rev. Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Carey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
