Martha Ellen Haworth

Martha Ellen Haworth, age 86, of Westfield and formerly of Cicero, IN died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Sheridan Healthcare Facility. She was born July 10, 1924 at Anderson, IN to Damon P. and Florence (Poole) Lawrence. From the age of 3 she was raised by Harry and Grace Jackson who lived in the Deming community.

She was a 1942 graduate of Cicero High School. She was a member of Westfield Friends Church. Martha married Marvin E. Haworth on May 3, 1944 and enjoyed her role as wife, mother and homemaker. Marvin preceded her in death January 11, 1995.

Survivors include a son: Larry E. (Marcia) Haworth of Austin, TX, daughters: Brenda Kay (John) Davis of Whitestown, IN, Connie Sue (Charles) Sutton of Cicero, IN, grandchildren: Janice Vadas, Richard Davis, Wesley Haworth, Hilary Haworth, Michelle England, Michael Sutton, and 10 Great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband is a brother: Damon P. Lawrence, Jr., and a sister: Mary Jaeger.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 26, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Louis Hershenroder officiating. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Memorial contirbutions may be made to the American Heart Association or Westfield Friends Church, c/o Hartley Funeral Homes.
