Mark L. Thomas

Mark L. Thomas, age 81, of Arcadia, IN died October 22, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis, IN. He was born December 22, 1931 at Noblesville, IN to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Ferguson) Thomas. Mark was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School with the Class of 1949. He farmed for a short time and attended Barber College. He owned and operated Mark's Barber Shop at Arcadia, IN for over 40 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed country music, gardening and especially fishing. He is survived by a son: Billy M. (Debbie) Thomas of Tipton, IN, a daughter: Lou Ann Connor of Felton, MN, a brother: Jim (Dee) Thomas of Ft. Myers, FL, grandchildren: Pete (Christina) Thomas, Brooke (Matt) Tredwell and Amy (Brian) Mayfield, great-grandchildren: Andrew and Abbi Mayfield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Tim Thomas, brother: John Thomas, and sister: Betty Orbaugh. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Arcadia Chapel with John Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.
