Marion "Skip" House

Marion "Skip" House, age 74, of Atlanta, IN died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at his home. He was born October 10, 1936 at Anderson, IN to Russell and Muriel (Musselman) House.

Skip, as he was affectionately known graduated from Walnut Grove High School with the Class of 1955. He was a life long farmer and a member of the Perkinsville Methodist Church. He had also been a director of the Hamilton County Bank.

Skip will be remembered as a faithful basketball fan as well as an auto racing fan.

He married Marcia Ann (Davis) House on October 27, 1956. She survives him. Also surviving are three sons and their wives: Michael (Teresa) House of Atlanta, IN, Mitchell (Ma'Lisa) House of Atlanta, IN, and Mathew (Amy) House of Arcadia, IN, six grandchildren: Emma, Grant, Dustin, Gabrielle, Aaron, and Drake, a brother: Joseph House of Elwood, IN and a sister Minnie Ann Hobbs of Lafayette, IN. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a sister: Betty House and a brother: David House.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cicero Christian Church with Rev. Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park at Elwood, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. also at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Skip House Memorial Basketball Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1051, Cicero, IN 46034.
