Marie Evelyn Lasley

Marie Evelyn Lasley, age 72, of Arcadia, IN died January 14, 2013 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus at Noblesville, IN. She was born October 15, 1940 at Fishers, IN to Robert and Frances (Fagan) Morgan.

She was a graduate of Fishers High School and Ball State University. She continued her education at Ball State earning a Master's Degree in education. Marie taught school at Noblesville Elementary School and St. John the Baptist Catholic Elementary School where she later became principal. She also taught pre-school at Emanuel Lutheran Church at Noblesville. Additionally she had worked for twenty years at Metro Plastics.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her farm animals and was an avid supporter of Hamilton County 4-H.

She married Lloyd Keith Lasley on June 29, 1963. He survives her. Additional survivors include her sons: John Keith Lasley of Arcadia, IN, Anthony Louis Lasley of Andrews, IN, and Daniel Matthew Lasley of Kenosha, WI, daughters: JoAnn Lasley of Monticello, IN, Michele Lynn Mueller of Wilkinson, IN, and Lisa Marie Doerner of Avon, IN, brothers: Robert Emanuel Morgan, Jr. of Arcadia, IN, and Donald Eugene Morgan of Arcadia, IN, sisters: Mary Margaret Coppess of Elwood, IN, Marilyn Ann Brennan of Sheridan, IN and Marcia Therese Fox of Arcadia, IN, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother: James Bernard Morgan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Dale Ehrman officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
