Marie Louise Blackford

Marie Louise Blackford, age 89, of Cicero, IN, died June 4, 2013 at Maple Park Village at Westfield, IN. She was born June 19, 1923 at Deming, IN to Harrison Clifford and Ethel Louise (Walls) Noble.

She was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School with the Class of 1941. Then during the war she worked at Kenley's Supermarket at Noblesville, IN. She married Robert Dale Blackford on August 20, 1943 and he preceded her in death April 17, 1992. During her marriage she was an active farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, but attended Omega Christian Church during her later years.

Marie is survived by two sons: David Allen (Carol) Blackford of South Bend, IN, Dwight Eugene (Pam) Blackford of Arcadia, IN, two daughters: Nancy Louise Achenbach of Atlanta, IN and Mona Jane (George) Buss of Freeport, IL, a sister: Betty (Marshall) Hopkins of Denver, CO, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister: Patty Lee Noble and four brothers: Joe, Harold, Eugene and Max Noble.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.
