Margaret Maxine Landes

Margaret Maxine Landes, age 93, of Arcadia, IN died March 9, 2015 at Maple Park Village at Westfield, IN. She was born July 12, 1921 at Arcadia, IN to Lora Ward and Myrtle May (Baden) Belzer. Margaret had worked at the Walnut Grove School Cafeteria and later at the Best Lock Company at Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of Arcadia Church of the Brethren, the Women's Fellowship, and had served as a deaconess at the Church. She had also been active with the Tri-Town Senior Citizens. She married Robert Eller Landes on March 27, 1938. He preceded her in death December 6, 2010. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Edna Whisler Mitchell. Surviving her is a son: Robert Eugene Landes of Sheridan, IN, three daughters: Patricia Stephenson of Lapel, IN, Oliveann Nightenhelser of Atlanta, IN, and Lynette Duvall of Cicero, IN, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, March13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Arcadia Church of the Brethren, 8989 East 266th Street, Arcadia, IN 46030 with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 400 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday also at the Church.
