Lora Ethel Marcum

Lora Ethel Marcum, age 84, of Cicero, IN passed away December 8, 2016 at Harrison Terrace at Indianapolis, IN. She was born March 28, 1932 at London, KY to John Criton and Nannie May (Wood) Higginbotham. She had worked at Walgreen Drug store at London, KY and after moving to Indiana, she had worked for several years at Firestone Rubber Products Company at Noblesville. Ethel was a member of Harbour Shores Church near Cicero, IN. She enjoyed gardening, and tending to her flowers and house plants. She married Thomas Martin Marcum on October 6, 1951. He preceded her in death September 11, 2012. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Ida Tishner and a brother: Omer J. Higginbotham. Surviving her is a son: Thomas Eugene (Linda Sue) Marcum of Indianapolis, IN, a grandchild: Melissa Benefield, and a great-grandchild: Ave Josephine Yaggi. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens near Castleton, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of the services.
