Lloyd Ray Jacobs

Lloyd Ray Jacobs, age 73, of Cicero, IN died November 22, 2013 at Sheridan Rehabilitation and Healthcare. He was born August 10, 1940 at Asheville, NC to Carl Leroy and Ruth Evelyn (Kneeland) Jacobs. His parents preceded him in death. He was a graduate of South Lancaster Academy and of Atlantic Union College both at South Lancaster, MA. He first taught business classes at Mr. Pisgah Academy and Spencerville Jr. Academy. He then worked for 39 years for the Adventist Book Center covering several eastern states and Indiana. He was a member of Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church and for over ten years had been the co-ordinator for the Cicero Church with International Mission Trips. He enjoyed bicycling and singing bass, especially in quartets. Most of all he loved being with his family and his church friends. He married Ingrid (Rogers) Jacobs on August 12, 1979. She survives him. Also surviving is a son: Ronald Bruce Jacobs of Ringgold, GA, two daughters: Julie Beth Fuller of Menifee, CA and Amy Suzanne Jacobs of Wesley Chapel, FL, a brother: Frank Lea Jacobs of Williamsport, MD and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastors Ron Kelly and Aaron Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until the service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Maranatha Volunteers International.
