Lily Ward

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of our only daughter, Lily Ann Ward, who left us on July 20, 2025. Born on August 30, 2010, in Anderson, IN. Lily illuminated our lives with her presence. She was a radiant soul who touched all of our hearts with her smart wit, talented triumphs, compassionate acts, and creative flair.

Lily was a remarkable young lady who found joy in the simplest things. She was an avid reader and loved drawing and activities that fueled her imagination and intelligence. She was a bright student at Noblesville West Middle School, where she was a social butterfly, getting ready to spread her wings at Noblesville High School. Lily's passion for showing llamas was not just a hobby, but a testament to her love for animals and her commitment to Madison County 4-H and Llama Club. Her involvement in the ALSA and ILR showcased not only her love for her leased llama, Jaxx, but her dedication and leadership qualities. She loved her dogs: Eddie, Waldo, and Tilley. Her faith was strong, evident in her attendance at I-town Church. She had an unmatched ability to connect with others, which made her a beloved figure among her friends both at school and in the 4-H community.

Lily’s essence was her love for her family and friends. Surviving her are her parents, Robert Ward III and Abbey (Stokes) Ward; grandparents, Trecia (Lyttle) Mathews, Monte Mathews, Creston K. Stokes, and Shirley Frybort; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy (Cook) Stokes, and grandfather, Robert Elvin Ward Jr.

Lily's visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 07:00 pm at Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, Indiana, 46034. Private funeral services will be held with Scott Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Cicero Cemetery.
