Larry Coverdale

Larry Coverdale, age 71, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Hamilton County, IN, died April 6, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 25, 1944 to James and Ellen Coverdale. Larry was a graduate of Jackson Central High School at Arcadia, IN with the Class of 1962 and of Eastern Tennessee State University. He married Sherry Umbarger Hedge Coverdale. She preceded him in death in 2009. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson. Surviving him is his sister and caregiver, Anita Coverdale of Phoenix, AZ, brothers: Paul (Terri) Coverdale of Danville, IN, Dave (Rose) Coverdale of Shelby, AL, Lloyd "Shorty" (Nancy) Coverdale of Portland, OR, Daughter: Donna and two grandsons, three step-children, a step-grandson and 17 great-grandchildren. Larry and his wife were cremated. Burial and memorial services will be held at a later date at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens near Castleton, IN. An announcement will be forthcoming at that time.
