Julia Ann Sigler

Julia Ann Sigler, age 78, of Cicero, IN died May 12, 2017 at St Vincent Hospice at Indianapolis, IN. She was born June 8, 1938 near Noblesville, IN to Ralph and Lelah Mae (Creekmore) Waterman. She was a graduate of Noblesville High School with the Class of 1956. Being raised on the family farm, she assisted with the chores or rural life. She then worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Union State Bank at Carmel, IN. Julia was a member of Cicero United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, especially western novels, traveling and working jig saw puzzles. She loved reading her Bible and discussing the passages with her friend of several years, Col. Albert Dupont. Family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren who lovingly called her Mammaw. She married Lowell "Sonny" Sigler on March 7, 1958. He preceded her in death June 9, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Jerry, Joe and Jack Waterman. Surviving her is a son: Scott L. (Sandra) Sigler of Tipton, IN and a daughter: Stacey Anne Martino of Carmel, IN, brothers: Jake Waterman of Noblesville, IN and John Waterman of New Castle, IN, sisters: Joy Johnson of Noblesville, IN, Jean Layton of Lapel, IN, June Landis of Noblesville, IN, Janet Wilson of Noblesville, IN and Jane Christman of Noblesville, IN. Additional survivors include grandchildren: Josh Sigler, Nathan Kring, Cameron Sigler, Vincent Martino and Shelby Martino, great-grandchildren: Madi Sigler, Brody Sigler, Jacob DeVore, and Hunter DeVore. Visitation will be at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 with funeral services starting at 7:00 P.M.
