Juanita Lee Claytor

Juanita Lee Claytor, age 88, of Cicero, IN died April 24, 2013 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN. She was born July 17, 1924 at Hartford City, IN to William and Erma (Wright) Crouse.

She was a graduate of Hartford City High School with the Class of 1942. She was also a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Order of Easter Star at Hartford City. She married John Robert Claytor on May 24, 1947 and together they owned and operated Nickerson Farms at New Lizbon, IN for several years.

Her family described her as a dedicated, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed doing various crafts and was an accomplished painter of oils and watercolors.

Survivors include her husband, sons: Michael (Debbie Winchester) Claytor of Carmel, IN, David Claytor of Denver, CO, daughters: Annette (Terrie Valentine) DuBois of Wabash, IN, Beth (Jim) Magers of Noblesville, IN, and Sarah (Dennis) Wagner of Zionsville, IN, brothers: Robert Crouse of Lebanon, IN and Rev. Jerry Crouse of Shelbyville, IN, a sister: Joan Cale of Hartford City, IN, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson: Matthew Claytor, brother: William Crouse and a sister: Patricia Tison.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel. Burial will also occur Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery near Muncie, IN. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for their food pantry.
