Joseph Castleman Quinn

Joseph Castleman Quinn, age 79, of Westfield, IN died July 13, 2015 at Wellbrook of Westfield. He was born February 24, 1936 at Harrodsburg, KY to David Castleman and Maude Miller (Butler) Quinn, Sr. Mr. Quinn was a self employed painter and decorator who had also worked at St. Vincent Hospital. In his young life he was an excellent baseball player and a potential draftee of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He then played organized industrial fast pitch softball for several years. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan. Joe, as he was fondly known, loved his family and his country and was very patriotic. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting. He married Jean Harlow (Wayne) Quinn on November 25, 1954. She survives him. Also surviving are two sons: Steven Douglas (Connie) Quinn and Joseph Isaac (Lynette) Quinn of Carmel, IN, daughters: Becky Jean Quinn, Donna Jo Quinn, and Pamela Joy Quinn all of Westfield, IN, brother: Jerry Miller Quinn of Indianapolis, IN. Additional survivors include grandchildren: Aaron Quinn, Katherine "Katie" Small, Evan Quinn, Cassidy Quinn, and Thomas Quinn, one great-grandchild: Noah Quinn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers: David Quinn, Jr. and Robert Quinn, sisters: Catherine Terhune, Geneva Brack and Jane Proctor. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until time of the services.
