Joseph Henry Henderson

Joseph Henry Henderson, age 66, of Noblesville, IN died May 17, 2016 at Riverview Health at Noblesville, IN. He was born April 4, 1950 at Elwood, IN to Gaylon Eugene and Mary Alice (Jessup) Henderson. He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a switchman for the Norfold & Southern Railroad Company for over 22 years. Upon retirement from the Railroad Company he worked for Deem Electric Company for 17 years. Joe, as he was fondly known, was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church where he frequently could be found working on improvements to the Church building. He greatly enjoyed fishing and family gatherings. Surviving him is a son: Aaron Eugene (Ashley) Henderson of Russiaville, IN, sisters: Donna Gaye Walker of Arcadia, IN and Julie Grimes of Frankton, IN, brothers: Thomas Henderson of Indianapolis, IN, Matthew Henderson of Bradenton, FL, and Jon Moore of Seffner, FL. plus three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Edna Ann Henderson and Wanda Faye Snyder. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Atlanta Christian Church, 200 East Main Street, Atlanta, IN 46031. Pastor Jody Brown will officiate. Burial will occur at a later date at East Union Cemetery near Atlanta, IN.
