John Ellis Walters

John Ellis Walters, age 71, of Cicero, IN died June 4, 2013 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN. He was born March 20, 1942 at Pittsburgh, PA to Howard Lewis and Emeline Marie (Jaquins) Walters. His parents preceded him in death.

John was a 20 year career military veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Cicero American Legion and VFW.

He married Janis Elizabeth (McMurtrie) Walters on November 19, 2005. She preceded him in death July 4, 2009.

Survivors include a step-daughter: Elizabeth Starr Miller of Brunswick, GA, brother Howard Lewis Walters, Jr., Sisters: Shirley Hoover of Apollo, Pa and Barbara Walters of Pittsburgh, PA, also special friends, Corey and Renee Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery.
