John Leroy Gordon

John Leroy Gordon, age 78, of Hudson, FL died August 1, 2013 at Indiana University Health Hospital at Indianapolis, IN. He was born June 3, 1935 at Russiaville, IN to Robert Horace and Frances Gail (Woolridge) Gordon.

He was a graduate of Western High School at Russiaville, IN with the Class of 1953. He then served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1953 to 1956. John worked in sales in the insurance business for many years. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Florida.

John is survived by four sons: Joseph Leroy Gordon of Fishers, IN, John Robert Gordon of Plainfield, IN, Phillip Michael Gordon of Austin, TX and Benjamin Scott Gordon of Howard City, MI, a daughter: Julia Louise Vazquez of Russiaville, IN, and ten grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by twin sons: Robert and Russell Gordon, daughters: Joni Lou Gordon and Jonda Lee Gordon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with funeral services beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens at Kokomo, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
