Joe D. Booker

Joe D. Booker, age 78, of Arcadia, IN went to join his deceased wife, Florence (Benn) Booker on November 13, 2010. He was born May 19, 1932 at Elrin, IN to Floyd and Orpha Viola (Freeman) Booker. His parents also preceded him in death.

Joe graduated from Bloomington High School. He then honorably served four years as an Air Intelligence Specialist USAF Far East. He was discharged in 1955. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences on June 8, 1959 from Indiana University. He then received his Bachelor of Law Degree from IU on June 8, 1964. He received his Real Estate Broker's License on December 8, 1964 and founded with his wife, Florence, Booker Realty of Cicero, IN. He was a member of the American Bar Association and MIBOR.

Surviving him are two daughters: Leigia Rosales of Florida and Faith Nicholson of Kokomo, a step-son: Michael Stassus of Chicago, and seven grandchildren.

A time of visitation and remembrance will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
