Jean Deloris Hazelwood

Jean Deloris Hazelwood, age 79, of Cicero, IN died May 7, 2014 at Sheridan Health Care Center. She was born August 27, 1934 at Cicero, IN to Oakley and Katherine (Rigsby) Cain. She was a graduate of Noblesville High School and a long time member of the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was also a member of the American War Mothers. Jean enjoyed sewing and quilting during her leisure time. During her lifetime she had raised 71 foster children in her home. She had also worked with the physically and mentally handicapped at Jean's Children's Home. She then worked for Carmel Clay Schools and lastly she worked at Wal Mart at Noblesville, IN. She married Lebert L. Hazelwood,Sr. who preceded her in death in 1997. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a son:Lebert L. Hazelwood, Jr., siblings: Jim Cain, Jack Cain, June Cain, and Janice Beagle. Survivors include sons: Alan Hazelwood of Cicero, IN, and William (Leslie) Hazelwood of Cicero, IN, daughters: Cindy (Rick) Hamrick of Sheridan, IN, Georgianne Johnson of Cicero, IN, Iris (Patrick) Poor of Neenah, WI, and Liz (Mark) Burke of Pendleton, IN, 14 Grandchildren and 35 Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, May 12, 2014 at Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Aaron Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Carey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of the services at noon. Memorial contributions may be made to
