Jean Elizabeth Barker

Jean Elizabeth Barker, age 93, of Sheridan, IN and formerly of Arcadia, IN died July 2, 2014 at Sheridan Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 28,1921 at Arcadia, IN to Vane V. and Jessie (Stanley) Leaming. Jean was a graduate of Arcadia High School. She was a member of Cicero Order of Eastern Star and the Agape Bible Study Group. She attended the Arcadia Church of the Brethren and also church services at the Sheridan Health and Rehabilitation Center. She had worked at Public Service Indiana, Anixter Wiring at Tipton, IN and lastly was a co-owner with her late husband, William Clifford Barker, of C&J Appliance Sales and Service at Arcadia, IN. Surviving her is a daughter: Nancy Jean Baker of Arcadia, IN, son: Steven Duane (Sandy) Baker of Westfield, IN, 11 grandchildren, several great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law: Nancy Ann Baker of Arcadia, IN. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband is a son: Philip Stanley Baker, sisters: Mary Ziess, Anna Marie Becker and Margaret (Tommie) Etchison. Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with funeral services at 7:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
