Janice Kay Schildmeier

Janice Kay Schildmeier, age 66, of Atlanta, IN died January 20, 2015 at University Hospital at Indianapolis, IN. She was born February 1, 1948 at Lebanon, IN to Robert Eugene and Marjorie Luella (Griffin) Shirk. She was a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 1967. She had worked in banking for over 40 years, first at Farmer's Loan and Trust that later became BMO Harris Bank at Tipton, Indiana. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She married Francis Eugene Schildmeier on February 16, 1969. He survives her. Additional survivors include a son: Alex (Tina) Schildmeier of Arcadia, IN, a daughter: Michelle (Tony) Holliday of Wilkinson, IN, brother: Terry (Patty) Shirk of Atlanta, IN, sister: Beth Courtney of Noblesville, IN, and three grandchildren: Claire Schildmeier, Ethan Schildmeier and Reid Holliday. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating.
Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research. You may send condolences at www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com. Visitation
